Problem: Some connectors must be capable of immersion in a harsh environments such as fuel, or fluctuating, atmospheric pressures.
Solutions: Fired glass, either compression or strain-free type seals are incorporated into connectors such as the RS-59 or FB-20 series connectors. This type of seal isolates atmospheric pressures and gasses in a bulkhead type mounting application.
